Its that split second before I kiss you
And the space and distance between our heads
Has grown an eternal universe anew,
Paralysing my quivering lips with dread.
Black pools fall forever, then crystallise,
Mirrored perfection entices me near,
Your face reflects the verve I idolise;
The corner of your lips dries up my fear.
The moment is over, the pause is gone,
The oceans freeze over, the wind stops still,
Paradoxes possible, life lives on,
Piercing light breaks over the window sill.
Worlds collide for our brief moment in time,
Beauty in truth, infinitely sublime.
