Oh! In my life I have seen perfection,
Witnessed its truth and extolled its beauty;
Beheld the details of mans expression
Within, without, art fulfils its duty.
Im compelled to create and replicate
The verve of humanity, all its splendour,
With mellifluous language to illustrate
Our languid and lilting vernacular.
Alas, my bold dream is fatally flawed;
For in realising mans gorgeousness
Ill be forever perpetually awed;
Needing to succeed more, obtaining less.
Butterflies who know their magnificence
Are crippled by fear of maleficence.
